I always wait till the last min and buy my license the day before or even morning of opening day of turkey season. Well if finally paid off for me lol

Just realized my 2024 license is good until April 15th of this year so with opening day a few days earlier I can hunt and maybe be done before my 2024 expires.

Love a 2 for 1 deal :)

Mine expires 4/13 I'm going to wait as well till the evening of the 13th to renew 🤣 I was limited out on the 3rd day last season, and should have been the 2nd day. I'm going to be more picky this season, I don't want to miss out on it.

My parents bought my lifetime license for me when I was a kid, so I haven't really kept up with the changes in pricing and procedure over the last 20 years or so. But the licenses don't expire on 2/28 anymore? Is it just one year from the last date of purchase now?

correct. all my kids have lifetimes and I wish I would have gotten mine when I first moved to TN back in 2000 but was too poor at the time lol. Im at an age now it doesnt make sense as Ill never get my money back on it as Ill turn to senior before I do (I dont buy a sportsman every year, just buy what I need for what I do)

Don't worry about TWRA losing money. They got us about 40 years ago from us old timers.
At that time the license expired the end of June. Bought the Sportsman license the first of July and they changed the expiration to the end of Febuary.
Paid for the spring turkey season but had to buy another license.

Anyone else remember that?

Mine expires in 2099, bought lifetime in 2006, $1620, also bought the new grandsons for $200, 2 years later new granddaughter for $200, first sportsman I think was $75. it went from $1200-$1620 the year I bought mine. I am at about $85.26 a year on a sliding scale 🤣 . Better get them while you can in case they go away.
