After my misfire Saturday morning and a miss Sunday morning I figured I'd let someone else try it.
This morning was very foggy and pretty windy as well. Only heard a couple of gobbles at daybreak, we spotted some toms out in a field strutting with some hens but they crossed the fence and went onto a property we couldn't hunt before we could cut them off.
We left and went to another spot about midday. Struck a bird about 1:00, probably 300-400 yards away sounded like and my buddy shot him at 1:15. He gobbled good the whole way, he got to about 50 yards and strutted the rest of the way in and my buddy sawed him down at 25 yards.
He loved that blackstone custom cherry glass paired with a Matt Mclain black locust striker.
