Came to full draw......

.......and let down. I saw four does at a distance. Then another two does slipped in to an oak flat on the ridge above me. Right before dark an 8pt came out of the thicket where they bed and worked right by me to the oaks with the does. I was at full draw on him at 20yds, but he's just not quite old enough yet.

If only the does would have come closer. I have a tree pinned in the oak flat already so I'll be there later this week.

I came to full draw as well on a nice 8. However the spike that came in with him busted me. very dejected.

Hell I'd be a little scared too, but I'll be making it to several ASA events regardless. Hopefully we'll all be able to get together and make it happen. I was pleased to see the Hattiesburg shoot move to Columbus. That's only an hour from me.

I might have a few days off the weekend of the 21st (for the first time since I've been down here) and I need to shoot my broadheads to make sure they are flying good before I do any hunting. I thought I might see if you could help me with that instead of me going all the way up to KY to my parents place. I've not been able to find a place to shoot down here. I still have my house up there, but there is no furniture in it. I'll let you know what I decide to do.
