I know the red flash works because I saw it go off one night when I was walking out. but all that was on that photo was the dim glow of my hat light. I have several great day time photos so the camera is working. but I have a bunch of black of night photos...its a Bushnell trophy cam.... could it be the filter not working... can that be replaced.

Unfortunately, as expensive as they are, today's Chinese made trail-cameras are throw-away items.

One thing you could try, since it is out of warranty anyway, is to give it a good whack on the side of the case. I did this with one of mine when the same thing happened and it "unstuck" the filter. Just to let you know the probable outcome of working with Bushnell and an older camera, I sent two of my 2010 Trophy Cams to them last year after they stopped working. They were out of warranty by a few months. They sent them back to me with a letter inside stating they were out of warranty and no longer current models, but they would be glad to sell me a couple of new ones at some discount from retail. Their "discount" price was still higher than what I could buy new ones from several online stores.
