Anyone try to camo their cameras?Wonder if the deer care or notice.I guess they do.Mine are the typical black box looking cams.I figured ,just like anything else, after a while its just there, not bothering them. What cha think?

They will see the camo camera. Anything "new" in their environment is instantly noticed.

However, if that "new" thing proves harmless over time, they will learn to ignore it. I believe that's why my black-flash camera picture counts INCREASE over time instead of decrease. I believe the deer eventually find the camera box harmless and stop avoiding it after a week or so.

When I'm looking at what bucks are left after season over a corn pile, it doesn't seem to matter, as long as I keep corn out, flash or IR cams they keep coming. BSK are you basing that on trails, scrapes and mineral station sites?

The only reason I would camo a camera is to prevent theft of the camera. Deer don't care what color or pattern the camera is, once they figure out it is harmless they could care less.

All of the above, but especially areas not baited to draw deer in front of the camera. However, even at baited sites I get many more pictures of individual deer with black-flash because each deer stays at the bait much longer probably due to the lack of visible flash (although other factors could also be coming into play, such as any sounds cameras make while taking pictures or powering up the flash).

I'll have to look up the exact times, but if I remember correctly, the average duration of stay per unique deer at a bait site monitored with visible flash cameras was around 10 minutes, yet on the same property with black-flash, the average was around 45 minutes per visit. That's a lot more time to get more pictures from different angles.

EXCELLENT point. Camera theft is a real problem for many camera users, whether those cameras are on private property or not. Kind of makes you realize how many trespassers you actually have, which is rather depressing.

Been wondering how you guys where doing that. Ive been using camo duct tape but ill try the liquid nails next time.

There are many post on internet search showing step by step how to 3D camo your cases.

The liquid nails seems to take a while to dry and the smell to go away. The PL200 like Steven stated works really good.
