I'm going to have to miss one of UGA's biggest games this season while I'm elk hunting in CO, but I hope to catch the rest of them. I'm a big DAWGS fan, but love CFB in general. I'm not into bashing other teams in this thread, but let's talk about the positives that you look forward to seeing from your team this season.

UGA was successful a season early last year, and got ultra conservative for a few offensive possessions in the big game that cost them, but it was hard to be too upset at the loss when they were majorly exceeding expectations to even be close to there.

This season could be a little rough on defense (you don't replace that LB corps easily), but I trust that they will still be good. If they can find playmakers and cohesion before the USCe game then I think that they will be ok until they see Mizzou.

Offensively I expect them to be better than last season, but we shall see.

Thoughts on your team?

I don't expect Georgia to have a huge fall off. I'm not saying they will play in the big game again but they wont be far from it. Smart is a solid coach and it will show.

I expect Tn to slightly improve over last year but not huge strides. I am ok with any improvement in Pruitt's first year. 2-3 years from now, I hope we are right there with Georgia in the East. Time will tell.

I'm curious to see how much better we are under Pruitt, first year not too high of expectations, espeacially with our schedule

I'm wanting to see how Saban handles the Quarter back situation but more importantly how he replaces all that talent ALABAMA lost on Defense . Time will tell .

I would not mind seeing a ALABAMA Georgia match up again . I sure would like another shot at Clemson though .

Everyone knows that UGA is a ground and pound program. We have always kept a full stable of running backs with abundant talent. Unfortunately in years past we have created a unbalanced offense by having such a solid weapon in our backfield. Looking at the recruiting that has taken place since Coach Smart took over I believe in the 2018 season we will see a major shift in the lack of using wide receivers to throw the defense of the opposing team off ballance. I think Kirby has had this idea in his mind since he came to Athens and this year we will begin to see the culmination of his game plan. We also have beefed up our offensive line to accommodate a more effective passing game. Now don't get me wrong I don't think we ever become a "west coast" offense because at the end of the day we will still play GA brand football but it will make our bread and butter even more effective. Now to defense...we have added some great depth to an already talented front line and I expect the leadership that we lost in the secondary to be picked up by our D-line. We have a few returning players from last year that I suspect will really come into there own this year in Natchez Patrick and Jonathan Ledbetter. I am definitely excited for this season and also a little apprehensive but at the end of the day I'm just glad to be able to watch these guys compete the way they do on Saturday. There is not sport that even comes close to college football IMO...

GO DAWGS!!!!
