Can anyone in TN use a crossbow??

Guys,

this is my first year hunting in TN. Can anyone use a crossbow?? I am from KY and I believe you have to have a permit or disability to use one there as my dad just got one. If anyone can use a crossbow, I will be buying one very soon.
