I'm sure this is somewhat of a repetetive question, but I want to hear some honest answers.

How many of yall are shooting as much as you would normally to prepare for the season?

By this time in years past I would have been shooting most every evening. I usually start in late July if I ever slow down at all. But this year I have put it off more and more due to the heat. It's just not pleasent to shoot right now. This past week I have said enough is enough and I'm just gonna grin and bare it from here on out.

I have been fortunate enough to be able to shoot of the mornings and it hasn't been to bad. Can't stand it much after 10 but you got to do what you have to, to be ready.

I usually get together with another TNDeer member and shoot one night a week in the summers. Not this year. I've been lucky to drag myself out the backdoor and fling a few each evening before getting too hot. Usually shoot about 8 arrows and call it a day.

It's been really hot here in KC. (100 degrees)and the sun is intense , so I haven't practiced as much after work . The sun shines on the backside of the house in the evening , so there is little shade . I practice in the mornings on weekends when it's cooler in the backyard.

just started......
i have been procrastinating...
Shot my first 20 yd group this evening....while i am happy with my first shots i couldnt repeat this again...it takes me a while to build back up and not hurt something, this evening on the next to last shot i strained my front shoulder/chest top area and that is what takes me a while to get back into it. I am still pulling 70+ and i prob should pull down to the 60 range since i am getting a little older and those muscles are not as flexible as they used to be.

Last night there was a decent breeze blowing. Not enough to really affect my arrow flight, but enough to cool it off some. So I shot for about an hour. I Decreased my draw weight so i needed to resight. I got my 20,30,and 40 pins in and I have a 4th pin I usually set at 50, but didn't get to that last night. As long as I have the 20 and 30 in I'm good for hunting. but i like to have the others for fun. Soon I will have to do it all over again after broad head tuning.

I sure hope it cools off A LOT b4 opening day or I'm gonna stay home and watch football.

Haven't been shooting much. After the rain last week the skeeters are horrible.

Need to spray the yard and get back at it.

I never start shooting til the end of august, luckily for me I never loose my touch, it's like riding a bike, once you learn you never forget

You guys are gonna laugh but i took my screen off the window up stairs and been shooting down to my target like im in my stand. lol
