Can't guard Noah

That catch was insane. When I saw it live, I thought the ball bounced of the DBs back and couldn't understand why the ref didn't throw a flag for interference. I didn't see the actual catch until the replay. Insane.

Incredible catch. The ref missed the face guard interference. Probably shocked by what he saw.

I wonder what would have happened to OU early if the Big Ten refs (and Big 12 replay officials) hadn't missed Mixon's KO non-TD?

Just a bigger/earlier implosion. OSU was definitely the better team.

No excuse for the refs -- if you look at the replay one was in a perfect position to see the drop. Even poorer performance by the replay crew; aren't they supposed to review every score?

Between this game and getting clobbered by Houston, I think Oklahoma is this year's most-overrated preseason team.

Who is (or was) Tyrone Prothro?

He was a Bama WR and return specialist 2004-2005. The catch shown was against Southern Miss and won the 2006 ESPY award for "Best Play." Unfortunately Prothro suffered a terrible leg break a couple of weeks later against Florida and never played again.

That was awful. If I recall correctly, didn't he have NFL potential?

I'm not sure, that was a while ago. I think he may have been a preseason All-SEC pick. That would have at least put him in the hunt for the NFL. I have no idea what he ended up doing. Sad story, but all too common.
