So I'm in the same spot I had one last weekend gobbling his head off on the roost and strutting in the field for me after sun up. Today nothing. No sign of him no gobble. Nothing. I saw one lonely bearded hen who fed in the field for a while after sun up. I thought the pretty much roost in the same area day after day. So far today is boring.

Could have been there, but lockjaw. Or could be elsewhere. Turkeys can and will change their roosting areas. Keep hunting and keep an ear and eye open.

i guess it could be possible, but no likely since the area isnt too big and private land. Not aware of any other hunting in this small strip. Never know though.

Some turkeys move alot, rarely roosting I. The same spots, while others roost in almost same tree every night. Some of it has to do with the hens. When all the hens go to setting they move alot more, looking for more hens. Hunting pressure will make them move also.
He could have been killed by somebody else, or may have just been some t this morning. You also could have spooked him going in and not know it.

For the most part, turkeys that I have hunted are un-patternable.
