I have used carbon arrows for years now. Never had a problem. But some of you guys have me kinda "spooked".

I have a "favorite" arrow I've used on pass through shots on several deer now. I did the Easton Company flex test and visual inspection...and find NOTHING wrong with this arrow. I am interested in seeing how many deer I can take with ONE arrow. (So far, it's 11 deer, 2 turkeys, 1 coyote, and 2 misses).

How do I KNOW this arrow is good to go?

Visually, audibly, and "bendably" it seems fine.

Does anyone KNOW???

Radar? Anyone?

Most carbon will crack in the rear of the shaft next to the knock. But check the whole shaft for cracks, cuts, and splits. Then do the bend test, if its damaged most time it will pop and crack during the bend test. Rule of thumb, if in doubt, throw it out. Thats pretty good success with one arrow. Might wanna think about retiring that arrow and put it on a shelf somwhere? It deserves it!

Thanks bparchtech,
I will shoot and inspect it today one more time! If I have doubt, I will retire it. If I do, it will have finished WELL!
