the one below my string suppressor slides down the string after a few shots. Should I just leave it where the serving starts or am I losing any benefit of the cat whisker when it is far down the string? It seems to be a bit quieter when the cat whiskers are spaced evenly apart. I don't mind that I have to slide it up every once in a while as long as it stays on there.

These things definately quiet down the bow alot and my point of impact did not change since they were installed, so I guess I only lost a few fps.

If it slides down I would see if I could pull on it to tighten it up. Either that or get a little bit of dental floss and serve a little top and bottom. I wouldn't worry about speed I am more concerned on how quiet my bow is, so imo you are on the right track.

I told ya they would impress with the NOISE REDUCTION. I couldnt believe how quiet it made the ole blackhawk. Just wish we could figure out a way to keep that bottom one on. I am actulaly just shooting with the top one alone. It dont seem to make any difference in my shooting, but not sure if its good or bad. It keeps it quiet.

How do you "serve" with dental floss?

Google serving in peep and look for pappys explanation and pics. I am on my iPhone or I would post it. if you can't find it I will post tomorrow. Or, just run over to jays with a diet coke and have him do it. Ha!

Tie alternating half hitch knots above to keep it in place .

My serving job was actually quite fine. I did opposing half hitch knots, tied off with a square knot, cut the loose ends, and used a lighter to burn the excess. My whisker didn't move at all today and the serving has held for now.

I also do the same serving for a movable peep sight serving .
