I ain't never been turkey hunting up there but someone is having some luck. The harvest report says 33 have been killed this year.

I killed one on 4-13-07 not hunted it much since then but those birds are VERY VERY TUFF TO HUNT!

Ya you can kill em in the mornings when they fly down if you know where they are and get into postions but like most public land birds, they have heard every call thats out there so most of the time you are not gonna have a bird gobbling his butt off coming to your set, he is gonna come in drumming.
When I hunt out there I don't call at all until I'm set up on one, I locate with a crow especially out there!
