I've never had a cell camera. I like my Browning non-cell cameras. Here are a couple of combos that Browning has on sale.
Would anyone recommend either of these? I have 2 properties so I like the 2 combo. Deer numbers are low here so I'm not worried about a plan with lots of pictures. I don't have large open areas, so cameras will be set up on trails or small plots. I'd rather not have the "red glow" that animals can see. Do either of these fit the bill?

The pro scouts work fine. But I think their cellular devices are a major step down from the standard cameras. But probably could be said for about every manufacturer.

From my experience get the ones with external antenna. I have one of the defender pro scout max and if it doesn't have enough signal it doesn't want to send pictures at all and you'll be frustrated trying to get it to have signal while out setting it up. All I run is browning cameras and that is the only one I have with out an external antenna.

One property has a cell tower about a half mile away. I've never had a problem with my phone on either property. Does the camera let you the signal strength as you set it up?

I bought a Browning on one of these type sales. Defender, maybe? Anyway, it included an external antenna as a bonus. Yes, you can scroll through the camera settings to determine the signal strength. I went with Verizon even though my phone is through AT&T. From previous cameras I had determined this was the strongest signal. The only problem I have had is I had to replace the external antenna because a bear ripped it off. Right now I have a Tactacam and the Browning, and of those two I recommend Browning.

I'll get failed attempts in certain areas then go to spot with better signal and no issue even had browning in the phone one time trying to see why it wouldn't work then moved areas and no issue

The Stealth cameras that I've bought come with 2 SIM cards. One of AT&T the other is Verizon. This way you can use whichever has the best signal on your area.

They've been pretty good, but have had a few little glitches along the way. They will absolutely spoil you, and you probably won't use the standard cameras anymore, be warned.

I've got the defender pro scout max HD with external antenna and it's been pretty good. I bought one to see if I liked them enough to transition to them from tactacam since I was having so many issues with tactacam. Battery life has been excellent on the Browning. Think I'm at 87 percent and they've been in since end of Sept or first of Oct. Pics are just so so but not terrible. I got it on sale for $99. I see them for $149 now. One thing I wish is you could have it on pic+video like tactacam and could request a video. It looks like on this one you either have to be on pic mode or video mode, not both. Maybe someone can tell me if that's right or not.
