I found a massive rub so I though I'd try and catch the buck doing it passing through again. Instead I got a suprise.

I have no idea what happened but today I went to check my trail camera and it was on the ground facing the sky, the strap was frayed and ripped up. It appeared to be ripped by teeth or claws rather than cut with a knife. I looked to see if it had any pics and there were 40. I was exited to see them and hoped they would reveal what happened. Once I pulled up the pics I was bummed out and even more confused. I had one normal pic, a weird pic, and 38 pictures of tree tops. I can see coon whiskers on some of the upward pictures so I'm sure that is what shredded my strap, I just wish I knew what took it off of the tree. I looked in the picture and finally noticed a weird face like thing right by the rub. Idk if it is actually something or if it is just an illusion from the leaves. Either way I won't put my camera back out there.

Strangest thing is my dad was sitting 100yrds away just an hour before this happened yesterday.

I doubt it's a bear in West TN! Could be one of the panthers though :P

TBH, I'm sure something just climbed on it and the strap popped loose. Probably a coon, opposum, squirrel, bobcat, or any other tree climbing critter.

Squirrels need to gnaw to keep their teeth filed down and i have found them gnawing on mine over the years and i currently have one cam with scratch marks all over it..........little rats.

I've had fun watching raccoons on the cam play with my Trophy Rock. Each night they give it a few flips.
Wouldn't put it past them to investigate a camera on a tree.
