Now, I know Manning is a busy guy.
But all the Vols really need him to do is stand around and clap at some practices and make recruiting calls. They just need him to be around the program and visible. It would generate a lot of attention and it could help Tennessee in recruiting.
If Manning is willing — and he always wants to help the Vols it seems — then it should be a no-brainer. This is an easy way to make an impact in recruitment and draw some positive attention to the program during the Christmas season.
Tennessee would be wise to consider taking a page out of Purdue's book and making a similar (temporary) move before replacing Golesh.
