The guide for Cheatham states "Unauthorized entry or presence is prohibited between sunset and sunrise."
So I got there about 15 minutes before sunrise last week listen and get my gear together at the truck so I could walk in at sunrise, only to find another truck at the gate with no one home. Not sayin anyone is breaking any rules but is this typical of public lands? Also, what is the best way to hunt here when you can't sneak in with the dark and set up for them birds?

Looks to me like hunting is "authorized access" so you can enter prior to sunrise unless they've made some type of really DUMB change. I've turkey and deer hunted there for a long time and never ever heard/read you couldn't enter before sunrise or had to be back by sunset.

well, perhaps I just misinterpreted the regs then, it did seem a bit restrictive. I'm quite new to hunting and am just not trying to do anything wrong.
Thanks.

You should be able to go in before daylight.Call twra and ask to make sure
