Cherokee lake in Jefferson city

Well it is a transition time of the year which means a variety of lures, depths etc. Some fish should have begun to follow shad onto flats near the head of creeks. Crankbaits, spinner baits, jerkbaits and Alabama rig will all catch these fish. Look for an early morning top water bite throughout the lake. Most fish should be suspended in various depths of water following bait. May find a point, hump or flat in 8-25 feet of water you can entice a few off with a jig, Dr-16 or worm. Probably can find a handful of fish on channel banks with a jig/shakey head or the likes. Hope this helps but this time of year is day to day from my experience. You'll find the majority of fish in a summer pattern still with a few changing over to fall. Maybe someone can offer some better advice as I havnt been on Cherokee since June. Have had some really good night trips this time of year if that is an option.
