I'll be going to Cherokee for a few days in early June for a family vacation and a little trout fishing. Does anyone have any recommendations about lures, baits, and locations. I know they heavily stock rainbows, browns, and brookies throughout the reservation. Are there any locations that are especially good for brook trout? Thanks for the help!

I grew up there. You really can't go wrong anywhere. Use silver #1 blue fox spinners or pink salmon eggs with gold flake. Lots of big fish there. In my opinion, either start at the bridge across the street from the visitor center and go downstream in town, or go to Big Cove Road, across from the Fun Park, and go up. But again, it gets stocked twice a week, so there are lots of fish. You will have a blast!
