About 6 years ago as I was fighting for custody of Cheyenne, @Spurhunter had the idea of TnDeer nation buying her a lifetime sportsman's license. Well she has never wanted to go hunting until yesterday, and she said she wanted to go with me. We slept in this morning and I did some chores around the house. This afternoon we jumped on the 4 wheeler and rode behind the house to the tripod that @Deer Assassin put up a couple years ago. Climbed in the stand at 3:10 at 3:11 the deer was on the ground.

First shot I shouldered the rifle and let her pull the trigger. Bullet hit a limb. I chambered another round and took the shot. Dropped in his tracks.

Shortest hunt I've ever had.

I didn't make her wear the war paint because it really wasn't her kill but as soon as she does I promise you she will.

Nice little 8 point.

Awesome congratulations on a nice buck brother. She'll be slaying them before you know it .

Congratulations.

I miss taking my girls, all three of them tagged along and all three killed deer. So glad my son finally took an interest, hopefully will be taking my grandkids soon

Guys who don't take their girl kids out in the woods are really missing out.

I have a girl, boy, girl... all started hunting with me once they got out of diapers.

Spent the same amount of time with each one of them in the woods growing up, but now that they are older (22, 20, 17), the only ones who will hunt with me in the same stand are my girls. My boy does his own thing. I've hunted 13 out of the past 19 days... and only 3 were solo. All the other days have been spent with my daughters in the stand with me.

Oh, and in my experience, girls are much better shots than guys. Like WAY better.
