Chicamauga water conditions.

Planning on bass fishing Chic. about a week from now. I know the lakes are way up and muddy. Anyone fishing there now? If we don't get much rain in the next week will conditions be back near normal? Thanks

Yea, should be back to near-normal in a week. Lots of stained water.... not sure how long it will take to clear up. Bass moving into post-spawn, deeper water patterns... but there's been a lot of fish up shallow with the high water. Not sure how long that will last?

We made the mistake of going a few days ago. Launched just below the Watts Bar damn. Current was running roughly 7-10 mph. The boat launch was almost completely submerged. Might try again next Wednesday.

"Squarebill" is a type of crankbait, obviously with a "square bill" versus the rounded bill. Generally shallower-running baits with a tighter wobbling action.
