The TITANS need more than just a coach, help on both sides of the ball.
Yup hard to get the big time free agents to come play in Tennessee for such a bad team.

They have so few weapons on offense is sad.

Defensive secondary is awful.

I think Chip Kelly would do ok with the titans if he would keep LeBeau running the defense.

Yeah most college coaches that jump up to the NFL and get fried. Jump back down to the college level.

He did have back to back 10 win seasons with the Eagles They will be a few teams interested in the pro & college levels.

It couldn't make them worse than they already are.
Very true.

He can't do any worse then the last two guys.

I think he will go back to college ball.
Yep. I was thinking the same thing.

Sounds like a real peach! Reminds me of the stories about Saban:

So what else went wrong? Well, Kelly was losing people throughout the building, sources said, even outside of football operations. His autocratic tendencies got the best of him. His allies were few and far between. The idea that DeMarco Murray somehow led this charge is preposterous, I'm told, but in fact Lurie had begun having serious reservations a few weeks ago, when he began reaching out to confidants about how to proceed and began doing research on the pool of potential candidates elsewhere. He started to doubt whether Kelly The Innovative Coach was quite smart enough to overcome Kelly The Personnel Demagogue. Everything having to be Kelly's way -- moving events around to fit his schedule, things having to accommodate him -- grew troublesome.

Lurie didn't go into his meeting with Kelly with the intention of firing him, I'm told. More, it was to take his temperature and continue to feel him out and gather information that would lead to his ultimate decision on what to do with his organization in 2016. Obviously, things went sideways and what Kelly had to say didn't mesh with the owner's vision, and Lurie became convinced that for as radical as a Week 17 firing might be perceived, it was time to do it. The fact that Kelly didn't seem inclined to scratch and claw to remain in his perch, sources said, did him no favors as well.

These successful college coaches have total and absolute control over their programs. Their young and impressionable players eat it up but after 4 years (3 years for the best ones) it doesn't resonate with them anymore and they are happy to leave. None of that translates to the NFL with the players, assistant coaches, GMs, and owners. Except in the case of Spurrier, it's not an Xs and Os failure. Rather it's a control thing. Kelly, Saban, Harbaugh, etc can be a tyrant for 3-4 years and that's it. Pete Carroll is the exception because I don't think he's a tyrant.

Multiple NFL sources say Kelly is interested in the titans job. Mariota + the #1 draft pick sounds good.

The browns and Miami may be other teams intrested in Kelly.

I agree.

Even Carroll had to go through the rotation twice before he figured it out. He went from college to pro, back to college and pro again..... :)
He's a cheater plain and simple. Gets caught and leaves USC on probation and nothing happens to him. He gets to go to the NFL with no penalties and wins a Super Bowl. He's a turd in my book.

I think Chip would be a great choice as coach of the titans. He actually posted 2 10-6 seasons at Philly and has a decent record over the past 3 years. where he failed was PR and personnel. He made some odd personnel decisions, namely letting McCoy go and getting Murray, who did not fit his system. He has stated numerous times that their was only qb that could effectively run his sytem and he resides in Nashville. I don't think there is anyway that make him GM, nor should they. But reuniting him with Mariota would bring a lot of excitement to the music city, although other than Marcus, Casey and Walker, their roster is completely devoid of talent
