Killed this buck while he was eating persimmons last December. Not one of my bigger bucks, but special to me. My son had killed his first deer during muzzleloader and it was at the taxidermist. He looked in the truck bed and said "Dad, wouldn't it be great if you got a buck mounted the same year I got my first one and we could hang them side by side?!" I told him it was expensive to mount deer. He said "Come on dad! You've got plenty of money!" 🤦🏻🤷‍♂️. I don't, but I did it anyway. Tyler Johnson of Plainview did the mount.

Tyler is a good dude, he gets my work as well.

You won't miss the money years from now, but you'll treasure the memory and that buck hanging on your wall. Congrats!
You're 100% right! I've never regretted having anything mounted. I get a lot of joy looking at them and reliving those moments.
