Climbing Tree Stands

my api is heavy, i use it at my lease but it stays put all season. i have a openshot summit it is great for me, light and easy to get in and out of those hidden little honey holes. whatever you buy use the harness................please!

Tree lounge is by far the most comfortable. However, it is a bit of a pain to carry and put on a tree. I own a Viper and it is really comfortable and the easiest stand to operate I have ever owned!

treewalker treestands...i've used them all but treewalker beats the best. Api is my second choice, but i'm serious, try a treewalker and it will blow ur mind

Picked up a new viper classic for 100 bucks at my local archery shop. I always wait till season is over and look around for good deals.

I dont like any climbing stands because they take the stealth out of getting set up in area. If I have to use one though then I usually use my summit.

Go to the website for "equalizer" treestands and see one with a worm gear for leveling on the tree and you will skip all of the other mentions on here....It will be my next stand as i saw them last year at the birmingham ala deer expo...
Freakin Awesome!!!

Looks interesting. Here would be my gripes without seeing one. I'd want the Magnum for the comfort. It doesn't even come with the leveling system. Even without a foot rest or a gun rest, it weighs 25 pounds and costs $340. The seat looks really uncomfortable with that tiny pad, like you'd have to always sit up perfectly straight. I'm a notorious slouch.
Still, you never can tell with stands until you take a test spin. I'd like to do so.

Equalizer Stands

gil1 ....Good catch on the magnum i had not noticed that. I have actually seen the stand up close and watched it demo'd and i can tell you it looks like the real deal.
cant wait to get one maybe at the show this year.

Hey that treewalker does look great but i am amazed by the equalizers worm gear leveling system......

I have a buddy that owns a equalizer, he says they are not all their cracked up to be. Heavy, doesnt climb well, and noisy are his complaints.

Get a treewalker. All my friends have one now because of me. I hear all kinds of complaints from all types and brands of treestands, but I would argue that treewalkers have little to no faults. Light, extremely comfortable, quiet, grabs the tree like a bear on steroids....all you can ask for.
