Closed out the season with a double with my son this afternoon on both of our longest shots that we've ever made. My cousin wanted some does thinned so we all loaded up this afternoon. My crew is all out of buck tags so doe only for us.

My son was by himself and struck first at 150 yds. I sat with my daughter, and we had a group come out at 167 yds ranged with the range finder. She wasn't comfortable with the shot, and they weren't coming any closer so I obliged. I also wanted to try out some new accubonds on a deer. Most of our spots you can't see over a hundred yards, and that was by far the longest shot I've ever made.

She nearly made it a triple as a small buck ran a doe right over top of us as shooting light was about to end . She bumped the gun on the stand getting it out the window and spooked it. Maybe she will get another chance next weekend if we decide to go during juvenile.

Great way to end the season.

No orange on as the truck is 10' away. Lol. Not the greatest pic as it was dark, and we were in a hurry.
