I watch allot of races , and I have never seen a fan of Kyle Busch wearing their hats or shirts in public .
Do they wear a bag over their heads , live in a closet or what ? Are they afraid to go out in public ?
Maybe it's hard for me to spot his one lonely fan in the crowd .

Just kidding . :)

Radar I am sure that you will now begin to see more and more and more race fans jumping on the band wagon for him...... You got to love those fans that cheer for who ever is hot right now.

I agree , I have yet to see or meet one fan of his wearing their Kyle Busch colors in public though . I think he has a closet fan base .

Since the number are starting to decline for Nascar so I read I wonder if they are trying to spin him as the next Big E?

Trying to get more rating?

I don't think so . I'm just curious why the fans aren't coming out of the closet and showing their support in public more instead of on the message boards , like a true fan of any driver would . ;)

Interesting. We go to the Talladega races every year and have the same seats every race. The 4 people that sit right in front of us have changed drivers at least 6 times in 4 years........

I have been a Kyle fan for several years. I don't have a problem wearing my stuff in public. However, I have had to endure other people's rude and offensive behavior. I go to races to have a good time and I never cause trouble, I never throw items when other drivers win, I never approach fans of other drivers and tell them their driver sucks ( I have had much worse said to me). I guess having to suffer the wrath of the crowd probably discourages some people. I love meeting new people at races and most of them are very nice, but there are always a few who are there to cause trouble. If people don't stop throwing at the race winners, we will not be able to carry our coolers and drinks inside. It won't be too funny when we are paying 10.00 for beer in a paper cup. A few bad fans are going to spoil that for all of us.

Ha Ha I love the confrontation, every year at Bristol I wear my Kurt Busch gear and everybody is saying **** to me. I love to get into it with people, it makes the race more exciting. I may have to get me some Kyle stuff now that Kurt is heading south :)

my driver retired this year and i have picked kyle to back now. my reason is pure and simple he can drive the wheels off anything.

well i have allways liked nascar & cheered for the fords :) then a ford driver, seems its no longer as much about the brand of car & all about the drivers :( reckon they see the $ in that area mike243

Sassybass... I hate to hear you have to endure crap from people just for your choice of a driver. I know what you are saying though... I overhear so much in Bristol towards Kurt fans and Gordon fans. It used to be Rusty fans caught so much slack ...BUT, it is because they favorite isnt winning!

Sometimes people on forums act somewhat the same... they like to bash the guy that has the spotlight, especially when their favorite driver can barely stay or at least get inside the top 10 in points.

It always cracks me up how some idiots act towards their favorite drivers too though.... they act like Dale Jr is their fishing partner, or comes over to their house for dinner 3 times a week or something! lol

I have gotten tons of Kyle Busch hats and shirts over the years for free on account of his older sponsors. Now I wish I'd have taken better care of them, as they haven't given me the first Casey Mears one yet.

I wear the old #5 stuff all the time. No one has ever said anything to me about it. I do enjoy riling up folks like Nichols though. I'll be at the all star race, I will probably wear my Kyle #5 stuff again, as I don't have any yet for the #1 Mark Martin!!!!!!

And there is no reason to be scared. Haven't met many tough folks at the track who were fans of drivers I hated. Most of them just drink enough to think they are tough, then gravity gets involved. :D

I have been known to wear Gordon shirts just to piss off the Earnhardt fans . I have yet to see a Busch fan though . They must be scared to go out in public around here .

I have seen some towns where the majority of race fans were all behind a couple drivers.
Around here there is a wide variety of fans... But I am so glad in the Tri Cities area, I know a bunch of race fans, but can honestly say only 2 Gordon fans...
I think it is because of Bristol has become accustomed to hating him so much.
One thing is for sure... Nascar wouldnt be as much fun if everyone liked the same driver!
