Nate, DoubleDrops, another fellow and I shot Old Hickory today. Nate's been practicing and it really showed as he absolutely manhandled the Hunter class today!

Great shooting Nate!

DD shot his second tournament today and he's going to be a force to be reckoned with too. Glad I'm not shooting pins class anymore

I hate a great time today shooting with ya'll!

Congrats & great shooting Nate AND Jay! What Jay isn't telling ya'll is that he won his class also.

Hopefully we can get together & shoot again soon!

Thanks Jay and DD.
I had a great time out there shooting with you guys. I guess something finally clicked with me and I shot much better than I have been. The practice I've put in doesn't hurt either.
Thanks again and good shooting to both of you, especially Jay winning his class.
I don't know if Teddy is on here but he shot well also.

Congrats!! I'll be headed out that way in July for the State. Never shot out there before but looking forward to it. Maybe I'll see some of you fellers there.

I won our qualifier for the state last weekend; shot 202 in hunter class on a decently tough course. Then shot a shoot Saturday, and was shooting REALLY good (for me but probably not to anybody else). 20 target course...I'm shooting up pretty good. We get to targets 19 and 20 and they are together. All through this course we were shooting lots of 30-35 yd shots, which I was doing decent on and then we get to the last two, and here they are at like 17 and 23 yds. Chip shots. And I get cocky and shoot for the 14 ring on both of them AND MISSED the 14 ring on BOTH of them. Shot a nickel on the closer one and an 8 on the other. Totally blew my mind. If I would only have shot for 10s on them, and got 10s, I would have shot a 11 or 12 up . Instead I shot 202 again...and last week that was good enough to win. This time it only got 3rd.

No more trying for 14s for me any time soon!

Congrats shooting so well Crow. Old Hickory is a great place to shoot, so I'm sure you'll enjoy the state tourney. I wasn't able to shoot any qualifiers so I might out of the loop for that.

Those 14 rings look mighty tempting at only 20 yards. Our shortest target was an antelope at 23 yards. It was one of our last targets and I had a good round going so I just took my ten and moved on.

I would have shot at the 14 on the lope, but the target was leaning way back. The rings sure shrink when that happens.

Yeah, we had several that were leaning way back. People should straighten targets up after they shoot, especially if they know other shooters are behind them.
