Ive bought my son mouth calls and then for having good grades I bought him a box call. His birthday is coming up and would like suggestions on a standard, dependable, slate/pot call for someone just starting out. Thanks

The Woodsman made by Cody is my favorite. you can get lots of differnt sounds by changing strikers.

I found some Woodsman on ebay and they look good to me. My next question is glass or slate for a beginner or does it matter ?

I have a couple of production calls I will send you for him if you PM me your address.... I went custom calls last year, so the production calls just sit on a shelf.
