Cool experience this morning

Are you north or south Lawrence county?
They said they are not having much luck in South Lawrence county.

Those guys are some great guys.

Looks like a great thing to be a part of. Kudos to TWRA & UTK for putting forth an effort in an attempt to better understand what is really going on in those counties. I feel certain the residents and hunters there are extremely pleased they are addressing the situation based on their requests over the last few years.

I'm about middle of the county, they have a site in the northern part of the county and mine in the middle and one in the southern part of the county. There are 5 toms and 10-15 hens coming to the corn pretty regular but they haven't trapped them yet.

Lol I know where there site is in southern Lawrence, it's on the farm adjoining mine. They are going to be hard pressed to trap any there, and if they don't do it in the next 3 weeks they will be gone

cool! How many did they tag? Males/females? What part of the county? (North, South, Central)

They have 2 sites in bedford county. One in Sw and one in NE. They have done 16 hens at the SW site so far. The gobblers are stay back so far.
NE site they have 18 hens and 3 gobblers so far I think. Still need 5 more gobblers.

Hen #1 at the NE site has already died to a coyote since the study started 3 weeks ago.
