Here's a cool feature of the Black Gold Ascent. I'm not sure if the other single pin slider sights have the same feature but here it goes.

The Black Gold Ascent accepts an indicator needle for the outside of the sight. Now I can have two sight tapes on one sight. This is a good feature if you shoot different arrows throughout the year or in my case I will use the outside tape for shooting off the top pin as the floater with my 4x lens. The inside tape will be my hunting tape to use the bottom pin as the floater and without the 4x lens.

I noticed a POI change taking off the lens. With the lens off I set the inside tape indicator at 50 and its set as a fixed pin hunting sight with 25, 40, 50 yard pin gaps. I have the option to move the bottom pin for shots beyond 50 yards.

Outside tape (top pin as floater and 4x lens)

Inside tape. The only adjustment I have to make is take off the 4x lens and lock it on 50 yards. At that point I have a 25, 40, 50 yard fixed pin sight with a slider option off the bottom pin if I need to shoot beyond 50 yards.

You will also find that taking your lens out to clean it, will result in impact differences. It is very wise to have some form of marking to try your best to line it back up. I would like to have a scope housing that lets you put the lens back in the same place every time when you clean it. I took mine off to install the LP light kit, and I even marked it the best I could to try and get it back in the same place. Despite my efforts, my sight had to be readjusted for hitting to the right by a few inches.

The lens kit for Black Gold only allows you to install it one way. The lens itself is housed in a scope. The scope with the lens attaches to the sight with two set screws.

In other words Black Gold sights don't have threads to accept a lens like other sights. The sight only has two holes to accept their lens kit that is unique to Black Gold.

This does limit your options to either a 2x or 4x lens kit but the way it's designed it installs exactly the same way each time.
