Do y'all have the nock below or above the arrow ? And why ? I have read it both ways on the internet , second question is split or 3 under up to the shooter or should the bow be set for one or the other ?
I have one nock set, above the arrow. When drawing an arrow will want to slip upward if the shooter is using 3 under or a release. It's not so bad with split finger. It's also a reference point to consistently place the arrow on the string.
As far as setting the nock set split or 3 under, I don't concern myself with that too much. Nock placement is part of the arrow tuning process. I adjust now ck set and brace height until I'm satisfied with arrow flight.
Good question, I place mine under the nock point, never have experimented with 3 under but have thought about it just to see what happens.
Thers several things I need to learn about set up & tuning, was think'n today about this very thing, have an idea but not real sharp on any of it at all.
Need to learn more about bare shaft & paper tuning, brace hight & its affects, tillering & just basic set up.
