I'm reading some decent reviews on these cameras. I'm ready to switch to black flash. Unfortunately many of the cameras I'm researching aren't true black flash. Chasingame.com rates this one as a true black flash.

Anybody have any experience with this model camera?

The Covert Black is getting a lot of good comments on the forums I read. I don't have one personally, so I can't speak from experience, but all of the reviews and sample pictures look pretty good.

I have two, and they are my first black flash cameras. They have a very good trigger time and take great daytime pictures. Like all true black flash cameras, the night time pictures are not great and tend to have quite a bit of motion blur. You can somewhat compensate for that by setting the burst mode to capture several pictures in rapid succession so that you will usually get at least one that is not too bad. Seems to have very good battery life also. At least to my eyes, it is a true black flash and it doesn't appear that the deer notice the flash either. I've only had mine since mid-summer, so I can't speak to longevity yet but so far I have been pleased with them. I have not used the movie mode at all.
