I bought 4 Covert Scouting Cameras last November. All 4 of them went bad in less than a year. They sent me new replacement camera's and 2 of those have already gone bad, one was bad right out of the package. Don't waste your money on Covert Cameras! I've had better luck out of the cheaper Primos and Stealth cameras.

Amazing how different people have different results with the same brand cams. I've had nothing but good luck with mine. I just bought 2 more and might buy 2 more again before the sale quits.

What kind of problems were you having? I bought a new black 60 HD this year and haven't had any issues so far.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I purchased two around June, had to update firmware cause I was getting washed out pictures and some were black.
After updating firmware one would not takes night pics or night video.
Sent the Black 60 back to Covert and they didn't even send a black 60 back instead they sent me a HD 40??????
That doesn't say much about the company to me.

My Coverts started going through batteries like crazy for some reason. I have pulled them and do not plan to put them back up until I can figure out the problem.

I have had some issues with my covert's recently. Both of the ones I have had problems with were the MP6's, the 2013 model. The first one I sent back and they sent me a new camera for $100 because I never registered mine under warranty. The second one is doing like hitek7's and eating the batteries. I talked to someone else and they offered me 30% off of anything on there online store. I have an MP8 that is a 2014 model that is doing great. It has been out with the same batteries since September and still going strong.

I still have a couple out that are over 5 yr old . Also had couple die within that period , one ,my fault left it out so long batteries corroded . Using about 10 browning now . Have some probes with night pics , day perfect . They sent me email to download software but can't get it done . Repeated emails back to them get no answer . Will call them when I get time and see if I can get them running .

Up until the last couple months all I did was brag on how well the Covert cameras worked. After posting yesterday I went out and checked another of my cameras, a Code Black, and found out that it was leaking water and the screen would no longer come on. I've sent another email complaining and asking for a refund or a cam to over nighted to me. I told them this the most vital time to have that particular camera out and I needed one asap. The camera is only about a month old too. I really like the cameras, especially for the price, but I can't seem to keep them working.

In 2013 I purchased three Black 60 units. Two were 2013 models, and one was a left-over 2012 model. The 2012 model has worked perfectly, and I'm still using it.

One of the 2013 models essentially quit working during the first year, and Covert was nice enough to replace it with a 2014 model. I don't think I've had any issues with that 2014 model Black 60.

However, my bad for not sending back my other 2013 Black 60 while it was still under warranty. It has periodically just failed to take ANY pics, even though it "appears" to be working properly during set-up. This week it totally died, providing me with only about 2 years of "intermittent" service.

Based on much of what I've read, Covert built their reputation on their 2012 models (along with their good customer service). But their 2013 Black 60 units were a crap shoot of very poor quality units. Unfortunately, this poor quality control seems to be a problem with most brands that are manufactured in China. They'll have a certain year model that is great, then the next batch of the same will be mostly duds.

Don't have 10, just 2, but I believe those 2 Browning Dark Ops are the best cams (for the money) I've ever purchased. But that said, even one of them failed me during its first month. Browning gave me very good customer service in their quickly replacing it, and I've had no problems since with either now in over a year of use (both have been out continuously).

I have a Black 60. The SD card quit latching less than a year in. They replaced it with this years model and so far so good. I love the camera. I get excellent pictures day and night and I love the video mode over scrapes.

Got to talk to a tech rep at Browning this am . Walked me thru the software update . Fixed the two black ops I have here at the house . Will pull the others and get them updated . Excellent day pics and videos ( with sound ) . Actually had a small buck either lick or sniff at close range , you could hear the slurp, or the sniff hard to tell which it was but it was pretty neat . I had put that one a foot off the ground aimed at a mock scrape that was being freshened about 3 ft in front of it .

I seldom use video, but my Browning Dark Ops produce better quality still images than my Covert Black 60 units. The Brownings have a greater flash range and a faster shutter speed, producing "crisper" clearer pics, day & night.

I also like the additional operational settings available on the Browning platform. Nice to have 2 windows for field scan, nice to have the ability to take a lot more than just 3 pics from a single triggering event, and nice to have time options for the rapidity of those pics. I can set the Covert to take 3 pics from a single triggering, and all 3 are snapped in less than 2 seconds. But I commonly program the Browning to take 7 pics, spaced 1 second apart from a single triggering event.
