Anybody have one of these? Curious on how well they work in mountains and how easy of set up it is with cellphone carrier?

I have a 2012 Model. Have only tried with T Mobile so far. Great little cams. Gonna get me a ATT sim card and try them. Can not get a signal in Ohio with T Mobile but works great here in Knoxville.

Takes about 2 minutes to receive the text.

Here is an actual IR image from it last year.

Yep, AT&T or T-Mobile. Make sure you have a good signal where you want to put them out. I've got two running out in Missouri right now.

Lot of spots in Ohio without a signal.

"Covert special ops"? I just want pics of deer, not Bin Laden. :)

Got my Covert Special Ops cam working for the first time today. Super easy. Took it to the AT&T store and got a Go Phone SIM card for free with the $20/month unlimited text plan. They activated the SIM, gave me the phone number and I was on my way. Went home, followed the setup instructions and I was receiving photos via text and e-mail in no time. I cannot wait to get this thing in the woods. This is going to be so awesome!

So, you can do this without having current cellular service with ATT? They will set it up for just $20/mo?

Hey buddy, if you feel the need to let a landowner that's run over with trespassers borrow it, I'm just a mtn top away. ;)

Correct. You get a prepaid plan. You just need to make sure to feed your account another $10 or $20 each month to keep it going or sign up for monthly autopay. It's 1000 texts a month for $10 or unlimited texts each month for $20. During the offseason I will probably drop down to 1000 texts for $10. I might even do that during the season if I'm getting less than 1000 pics each month.

Sounds like you need one....or at least some claymores!

I am looking forward to sitting here in Dallas at work and getting pictures of deer on the lease texted right to my phone. How cool is that!
