Overheard a couple guys talking about crappie on Douglas the other day. I usually fish Nina holler about this time, but not sure what to think after all the flooding and how low the water is compared to other years. I've lived on Douglas for 30 years and I'm a little lost this year. Anybody got any reports? Pm if you want to keep it out of the public eye. I know a couple years ago I could've walked across the lake and never touched the water. I've never seen that many boats. It seems if it gets out everyone will know.

Thought I heard contact wasn't advised due to water contamination. All I know is what flooded in places like Asheville and eventually ended up in Douglas is nasty

That's what the talk was and what I was hearing. But, from what I seen out there the other day and what I'm hearing now people are catching. The advisory isn't slowing down the fisherman. I'm not sure what to think.
