Did you not shoot in Florida ? I was looking for ya in the results to see his ya did ., give us an update on how the tourny went for you and the Mrs.

Yeah we went. Carrie had a bad first day (nerves got her) but shot really well the second day and brought her finish way up. She finished 23rd I think, which is her best yet at an ASA. My groups official score keeper accidently didn't turn my card in on the first day. They wouldn't take it on day 2, even though my group tried to explain what happened to the range official, so I saw no point in turning in day 2s either. I learned Open C has much better shooters than what I've been accustomed to shooting against. I learned a lot from some very knowledgeable guys and had more fun at this one than any of the others I've been to. I talked to several Pros and visited all the vendor booths too. I might squeeze another one in this yr if I can.

Wow that sucks. How did he do that?

Ahhhh it was no big deal. I shot in Open C so it wasn't like there were shooter of the yr points at stake or anything. I didn't shoot good enough to have been in the money anyway. 2 down for the weekend ain't gonna cut it in that class.

I am just as much to blame for the score card thing. I was busy talking to one of the guys in the group that was helping me with my setup and wasn't paying attention to my surroundings. We all walked up as a group to the range official and our score keeper handed the cards in and I kept walking and talking with the other guy in the group. Later that night we were looking at scores and didn't see my name, we thought maybe it was a glitch. We didn't figure out my card hadn't been turned in until just before the 2nd day round when I was digging out a pen from my chair and found the card in a little mesh side compartment I keep nocks/pens, etc in. There my card was, slid down in there. Score keeper said he thought I had saw him put it there when I was talking when he was returning my pen. Instead of interrupting us talking, he had just held my pin and a card up as if to silently ask "where do you want me to put this" and I remember pointing to my chair signaling to just put it in or lay it on my chair. For some reason I must have thought he had the WHITE unofficial card and my pen and never thought another thing about it until I found the official card in there the next day.

I remember he had several cards in his hand when he handed them in to the official so I had just assumed mine was in the mix. I wasn't mad at the other guy at all. Like I said, no big deal and it was my fault too. We were all more upset at the range official we had that wouldn't take the card, even though we all agreed that it hadn't been changed or altered from what I had shot. We didn't think it would have been that big of a deal but he wasn't having any of it.
