I ordered one back on May 21st and have still not received it.

i know he is a one man show and hand builds the calls, but how long does it normally take to get a call to you?

my wife e-mailed him on May 28th and he said, he said, he was gonna get it out, but still haven't gotten it.

How long does it take for him to get them out this time of year?
 
Well I know their season runs later than ours so I'm sure he spent a lot of time hunting and has got backed up on orders. He sold a ton of calls to catch up on.
David is a class act. I wouldn't be concerned about it not coming at all.
I would send him another email and check on the status of your call.
He normally responds quickly.

Shoot him another email or call him. The CM is a certified killer. Find you a good dymondwood striker to match it with. I had a ton of success with it this year. I usually have 6-8 pot calls I use throughout the spring and I kept going back to the CM. The birds responded to this call more than any other I used. I'm thinking about getting another one as a backup.
 
I don't have his # i sit on his website?

I know he'll send it and it will get here. I tried to e-mail him, but i ordered it on my wife's paypal and thus her e-mail. He never responded to me, but when she e-mailed, he responded right away.

If I can find his #. I'll call him.
 
Welcome man, anytime. David is top notch guy so I will always try to help him out if I can. He sold me my first slate (from him) in 2004 and we talked and such like we were friends from high school. I bet he has been busy hunting here lately. I saw tonight on FB where his wife killed a nice bird on May 31, the last day of their season in NY. I bet he has been going so hard for the last 3-4 months that he needed some time to chill, rest and recuperate over the last 10 days. Give him a call, he will shoot you straight.
 
It's probably good you are having to wait for it. It's always a struggle to get an awesome call and then have to wait a year to use it!

I thought about that, but i am just getting into calling and got to be ok with a pot call last season. I want to practice with it and get good. :D

Your wife probably asked him to delay shipment because you will drive her nuts once it arrives. :lol:
 
I e mailed him yesterday about an order 5/19 and he e mailed back that because of wet weather and humidity it was taking longer than usual to get calls out. He was very apologetic about delay but should be shipping by end of week.

hopefully mine is right behind yours. My wife e-mailed him the day you posted about the humidity and he e-mailed back and told her the same thing. He said, he would send tracking info when it shipped, but she has not received any tracking info. Hopefully he forgot and it is on its way.
 
I used PayPal and they emailed a total route,from time left to arrival date.
 
Has a very realistic yelp that goes to a cutting cluck effortlessly. The call must be conditioned as well as the striker to get the right friction.
