CSU and McElwain

April 2012? What took you so long badnole?
If you think about your question I believe you will get your answer.
But I will answer in part.
I didn't even know who McElwain was in 2012 nor did I know about a steroid problem at CSU or UF in 2012. I believe I mentioned his bad luck.
I will reread it to check.
Yep,I said unlucky. :tu:

What badnole doesn't mention is that (2012) was CJM first year at CSU. Of course if you check the hiring timeline CJM was only there 3 months when this occurred and probably hadn't coached his first practice at CSU..... :)

Does that mean that CJM inherited the problem or are steroids common in college football???

I will let him figure it out.... :)

I think the common denominator in both cases is "McElwain's first year".

How soon we forget..... :)

"In recent years, UT trainer Keith Clements has warned Tennessee coaches about recruiting certain football players who display the physical symptoms of using steroids.

UT has had around a dozen football players turn up positive for steroids since testing was first enacted in 1986, according to Clements."

I've heard of throw back Thursdaybut that threw it all the way back to 2005. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

And the source..........a Bama message board. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: When you read link, even bammers were saying good things about TN's steroid testing.

I don''t know how "common" steroids are in CF. Sure doesn't seem as common as some want to make it seem. I realize NCAA is not doing many tests. How many are they doing? 50, 100, 200 a year? If they are doing 50 a year and it is "common", why are we not hearing of the 25 players a year being suspended.

Seems to me a gator got caught and some are looking for a way to spin it. It's pretty obvious steroids or ped's or whatever it was was taken to help his football. Was he an isolated case or is it "common" in the program. May never know. But we do know there was a thread in 2005 on a bammer message board where a couple of their posters tried to accuse TN of cheating based on a no longer available newspaper article. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:
