cumberland behind Liberty park

I was down at Liberty Park today for the kids derby, I knew that the Cumberland was behind the park, is the fishing any good from the bank? I don't own a bank, so I fishing from the bank, what type of catfish are in there?

It's not great there. I've been told there is a better spot behind the Waffle House/ Hooters area. It's where the Red dumps into a bend in the Cumberland.

I'd suggest trying the Steam Plant area in Cumberland City. Cross Creeks and Elk Harbor have some ok bank fishing.

Whiskey, thanks for the heads up, definitely want to try behind WH, that's not a far drive, so easy for my son in case the fishing isn't great!
