got a new bow this year and my old arrows are 2 inches longer than i need. ( they come past my rest 3 inches). will my arrows shoot flatter if i shorten them 2 inches. I like to use one pin. I hope this will give me a few more yards on that one pin. anybody have experience in this?

It will give you "a few" more yards because you are going to be taking off some of the weight, but not a drastic amount. It also will stiffen the spine on the arrow, which probably won't be too much of a problem--unless, you were very over-spined to start with.
