Do we have a way to have our bucks tested without sending in the whole head and neck?

I'm a freedom mounted and don't want to give up the skull.

Anybody se in this predicament?

I asked the same question about a month ago. I cut out the nodes on my deer and dropped them in one of the drop offs. There are some good videos on how to remove them. I think they are called the retropharyngeal lymph nodes. Basically you cut from the back of the jawline through the neck.

Yeah, I think youre correct on the name. I took them outof a doe I killed last week and it wasn't hard at all to find them. I didn't need to submit them on this east TN doe, but I wanted to see how hard they were to find. If one can get someone who knows what they're looking for to point them out it's not hard at all. Identifying lymph nodes might be a little tricky to one with no experience at all....

Megalomaniac gave me some good advice in the thread I started a few weeks ago. I searched for videos and found a couple good ones that helped. This was one that I watched

Thank you everybody for your responses.
I'll be watching videos and collecting the specimen as I quarter the deer in the woods.
I shoukd have known to look up videos, but for some reason I did not. Thanks again all!
