I was headed to Franklin this morning and saw a flock right as I left the house with three strutters. Had to stop til they all got out of the road. Then saw another flock with a gobbler in it when I was almost to Franklin. Came back home early afternoon and walked through my kitchen and looked out back to see 24 hens drying out. So went back to work in my office that's on the front of the house and caught movement of birds in the driveway. I got up and had 4 on my sidewalk eating red berries off the bushes. Not a gobbler in the bunch though. Video on the sidewalk won't load but here's a few pics.

Dadgum yardbirds. Set up right there at that crepe myrtle...or maybe with the mailbox to your back so they don't slip up behind the trash cans unannounced.

COOL pictures, I went hunting one morning came home walked in the house a little bit I walked back out in the garage and there was a big tom standing at the edge looking in.

My 19 lb Boston Terrier saw them on the sidewalk and jumped at the window barking and they went off but walked right back.

IF you would throw some wild bird seed out there they will leave your shrubs alone..... :tu:
That would be baiting :pop: :smash:

^^^who in their right mind would do that, the shrubs keep them in bow range! :tu:
Exactly!!!

In all seriousness most of the houses sit on 5 acres. I've been here 15 years the end of this month and I've never hunted them at the house although I have killed a couple down the road. I was mowing one year and saw one two houses down strutting and tried to call him over but he wouldn't cooperate. :bash:
