That sux.Should be fine unless you start to see more fraying.I bought a crossbow last year before i sold it,it was bought new and when i got it home,they had a zip tie around the strings and cables so it couldn't be cocked back.Dummy me uses a light to burn the zip tie off and I melt 4 strands of the string off.But it still shot fine.
