Danner Jackal boots

Don't have any with those but generally danner makes a very good boot so I'd say go for it

Proverbs 3:5
"Trust in the lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding"

Sent from my phone because I'm that cool

One of the very best pairs of boots I've ever had were jackals.
I knew you werent broke.. Lol
Can you say On Sale? :whip: :tu:

Thanks ren. I knew Danners had a good reputation so will probably get some if they have my size.
Where are they on sale, Gravey??

I've been a fan of Danner boots for years. After owning 3 pair of Pronghorns that ALL leaked, I said I'd never own another pair of Danners that were made in China. Huge difference between USA and China Danners.

Bass Pro flyer is where I saw them. Of course they probably wont have my size.

I had issues out of my pronghorns leaking midway through the season on me. I have not found a boot yet that won't leak at some during one season. Danner and Russell have the best customer out of all the boots I have worn. Danger replaced my boots for me. I am actually going to give the new Ricky boots a try again this year.

Well I ran by Bass Pro and tried them on. The regular ones were tight across the front of my foot as muddyboots described but the wides were OK. Reminded me of how Nike's fit me. When I walked something kept rubbing the inside part of my ankle. At first I thought it was the back of the eyelet for the string but upon further inspection believe it was how the tongue folded back in that crease. Either way I put them back and the girl asked me what I thought. I told her and she said several people had said the same thing. Guess thats why they're on sale.

Thanks to this thread I went to BPS today to check out these boots. I tried on 4 different pair

11.5 wide (realtree version) too short
12 m (realtree version) felt narrow
12 m (mossy oak version) seem to be cut wider and more comfortable than the realtree version (pair #1)
12 m (mossy oak version) same wider feeling cut as the first pair but these seemed to rub my ankle as described above.

Walked out with the 12 m (mossy oak) first pair I tried. I'll see how they do walking around the house before I commit to them.

They were light so hope they work out for you. I was bummed because I really wanted them.

I bought a pair of Danner Pronghorn snake boots. Wore them last weekend and I like them so far. They rubbed a little around the ankles but I hope they will break in the more I use them. For $225, they better work for many years.

Getting too old for lace ups. I still wear my Rocky Wellingtons that are probably 13 years old. They still don't leak. resoled 2x. Or my Muck boots.

I love mine, had to get the wides too but man o man they are comfortable and quiet too. This will be my 3rd season with them and I can verify that they are indeed waterproof. Bought mine at Gander Mountain in Jackson TN.
