I am looking at picking up a new pot call from David Halloran. Can't decide between the crystal mistress or twisted sister. Anyone tried both and have opinions?

I've got the TS. It's great.
I will have the CM in my vest this spring. They say it's awfully good.

I have both of them and they are extremely good. If I had to choose out of those two I would pick the Crystal Mistress. If I had to choose my favorite Halloran call it would be Metal Mouth though. :)

I have the CM (as well as one of his slate over glass pots) and like it. I've never ran the TS.

However, I just started really getting in to turkey hunting last year, so I'm no pro at them anyway.

I have both and prefer the Crystal Mistress. I haven't hunted with the TS much, but the Crystal Mistress is a certified killer.

I feel like everybody's first Halloran call should be the CM. Once you have that one, then experiment with his other calls.

I wonder if I should bring the extra cash to the convention and buy one. I don't need one but they seem nice. Might just try one out if I can, but save the money.

If you were only to carry one pot call, this would be the one- especially if you hunt public land. I'd venture to say not many turkeys hear this type of call on public land.

depends on the bird and what spot on public land. Some of those 2 year olds are dumb anyway. I usually have a wingbone around my neck with a mouth call and/or a tube call in my pocket for backup.
