With all the questions and suggestions on mouth calls I wanted to put this out there. I literally have 2 gallon zip lock bags of mouth calls and chances are if you mention one I have it or have tried it from production calls to custom Ive run the gauntlet of mouth calls to see what all I actually like and don't like.
If you are in search of one to try or having trouble with others I HIGHLY suggest giving his a try. They are without question my favorite ones made right now for the rasp/pitch combo I like as well as volume control. The tape he uses isnt to stiff or soft so they stay solid when using them and the pitch is a fantastic med/high to high with not overdoing the raspiness. I have yet to use one of his I didnt like overall to be honest. None require a lot of air to blow so you can get very low with them and there is not so much rasp that when you get low with them it they dont lose the 2 note sound. I have others I still keep in my call pouch but the past 2 years his are my go to mouth calls AND they are not crazy priced (yet). You can get a 3 pack for $25 and all 3 are very good calls. His Flatliner is becoming one of favorites though which currently is not in the 3 pack.
mouth calls are always very personal as no 2 people have the same mouth shape and no 2 people blow them the same. That's way mouth call recomendations are so hard to really do because what I love for my calling style may not work at all for someone else. Hooks for example are fantastic calls but I cannot use them at all due to the smaller size they produce them in. I know a few other fellas on here bought some and use them so they can comment on their thoughts as well but again if you having found one you really love yet you should definitely give some of his a try. Currently the only offers like 5 options total so remembering which you have to order more is super easy (seems silly but to me thats actually a pretty big deal if i lose one lol). His pots and box calls are well known as turkey killing machines and I think his mouth calls get overlooked sometimes.
