My Stoned Aluminum Plastic pot was waiting on me yesterday when I got home from the hospital with my mom. It was late so I haven't had a chance to call Mr Darrin yet.
I haven't used an aluminum in several years. I ran it a little before bed and noticed it had a different feel about it.
I've ran it more today outback in between customers.
I believe I'm going to like it a lot.
It's has a good sound about it. I was surprised at how it will play soft also. I've been using some Halloran strikers with it as well and really mixes it up well. It's put together well and I am pleased. The only complaint I have is that it hasn't been autographed by Darrin [emoji22]. I may have to send it to him after season for some ink. [emoji2]It has a home in my vest this year.
Hopefully I'll find one that wants to play the game and see how he likes it.

Looks good TL, glad you like it. FWIW, none of my Dawkin's plastic pots are signed by Darrin.
Thanks for your help Andy!
I had meant to request him to sign it but forgot. I talked with him earlier and asked if I could send it to him after season to sign.
He gladly obliged.
He said he doesn't sign his calls before he ships them but has given thought to it.
I just like the call builder to autograph the call when I buy one. I'm weird like that. [emoji12]

I don't blame you at all. What I have noticed is he always signs his wood pots, but you have to request him to sign his plastic pots. Notice he signed Ricky's at the link below. With that said, I would wager a bet that Ricky has the biggest pot call collection in North America, so he has some clout if you will.

The reality may also be that he thought about signing them in January because he wasn't overwhelmed with getting them shipped out. Now that demand has kicked up, he may have just overlooked it because he is working hour after hour trying to build them and get them in the mail. Just a thought.

When I grow up I want to be just like Ricky [emoji12][emoji2]

You're right I've noticed the Signatures on the wood pots and I'm sure he's been slammed lately.

I really like mine as well. I've noticed on mine the sweet spot is closer towards the center than most calls. The more I play it, the more I like it. I didn't think it was a cluck and purr pot, but it actually purrs really well when I choke up on the striker.

Mine does too, discovered this last night when I was outside running it at 9PM. All of the dogs in the neighborhood go nuts! :)
