Deer Assassin & Company Went Fishing

After an earlier failed attempt at a crappie fishing trip, canned due to foul weather, TNDeer's 'Deer Assassin' and his two buddies, Mike & David, came catfishing with me this week. Fishing was good in the morning but their guide stunk it up bad in the afternoon. They quite with only 22 cats in the boats but the quality was excellent - we figured at least 250 lbs. About 200 pounds of those went home with them after the biggest fish were released.

It was a great day with great guys!

I can usually find a way to break even the most "stony-faced, he-man" types. I think I told him he was going to have to hold that fish up until he smiled or I wasn't taking the picture. I think the smile came just before his arm gave out.
