Whats the number one thing I can do on my farm to increase deer numbers? Food? there is 110 acres of rowcrops besides the neighbors and foodplots ect. Cover?? I had timber cut 2 years ago and another section of probably 40 acres cut this fall. Security?? I have at least 80 acres where I never ever go that sancuary is sweet. Should I plant a big bunch of switchgrass?Thats something I dont have.

Cover/ habitat. Then food / predator control
also have to have trigger control for you and neighbors. Some places don't have a lot high deer density it just is what it is. Our farm where i live is low deer density always has been but it's set up practically the same as our main farm and it's very high deer density. Slow day is only seeing 8 to 10 deer a sit. The only difference is location 30ish miles apart.

I know you've hinted in the past that money was not a problem. If so, I would hire BSK to come out and formulate a plan if you really want a solid opinion. Without being able to see it and the surrounding farms, we're all just speculating on what to do. Cover and food will be king but also depends on the surrounding farms as well. I've been wondering lately myself what I could do to my place to increase cover and food so the deer want to spend more time on me.

Good luck.
