Here's some videos of deer that were spooked at some of my Trophy Rock sites. What's strange is that each of these Trophy Rocks had already been there for several weeks and many deer had already stopped to lick them. I wonder what these deer smelled that made them spook like that?

Deer spooked by TR - 1

Deer spooked by TR - 2

Deer spooked by TR - 3

Deer spooked by TR - 4

Here's what it looks like when someone finds your Trophy Rock and they have no idea what it is. He was kind enough to put it back where he found it.

Somebody found my TR

Man those videos are strange, did they happen after the guy picked it up and the dog came through or previous to that?

The last human to touch those trophy rocks was me when I first deployed them. These are different rocks than the one that the guy picked up. What's strange is that these rocks had been in the field for at least 2-3 weeks and I have videos of multiple other deer licking them prior to these deer spooking. For whatever reason some deer were fine with them and other deer wanted nothing to do with them. Strange, for sure...

Hmmm now i will be losing sleep thinking about scenarios... maybe there is a timber rattler staying close by or seriously some other burrow or something that they are picking up scent on sometimes...

I gotta believe its something with the camera, noise or something.Hard to believe a TR would spook em.

Yeah i was thinkin about this yesterday when I walked up on one of my trail cams and I heard it snap a pic of me, that is got to be what it is... either noise or flash.

The cams are completely silent and most of the spookings happened during the day, as you can see in the video. It had nothing to do with noise or flash from the cams. The deer in the videos were spooked by the Trophy Rock. Many other deer that visited these same rocks prior did not spook. My videos from these cams showed that most deer were not afraid of the Trophy Rock, but a few definitely were.
